raise your glasses for...

Sarah Burton!

For those of you who follow me on Fashiolista or had few minutes to go over my blog, know my passion for Alexander McQueen. For those who are reading the first time my blog, thank you for doing that and, yes, I love McQueen:)
But I am not here to tell you how much I love this brand, but to celebrate Sarah Burton!
I just read UK Vogue's article on her amazing taking over the McQueen house, and I have to admit I had tears in my eyes and goose bumps during the entire reading of the article. This might sound crazy to some of you, but I do that. I am the kind of person that is very sensitive to these kind of things. I love reading about great people, about their successes, and the way they handle things. It is inspiring!! and Sarah Burton has become my inspiration.

under the mistletoe

i finally bought the Jimmy Choo perfume. I have been looking for it when it first appeared but always missed it in stores. So here i was, yesterday, buying this Zara sweater you see in the first picture and i decided to go inside Sephora to see what's new and I found the perfume! I bought it right away:) so now, it's finally mine!:)
The fragrance is a modern Fruity Chypre with warm, rich, woody depths. I find it a very sexy perfume. you will for sure attract your guy with it...under the mistletoe. (since Christmas is getting closer)

another coat? -oh, yes!

Allow me tell you something about myself...i hate the cold! i only like the winter during the holidays, for 2 weeks and that's it! I love snow, don't get me wrong! i just hate being cold, feeling it deep to my bones. With that being said, strangely, I am in love with coats and jackets. So i keep on buying them. This one is next on my list. It will be my #13.

If you are interested, you can find it on my fashiolista page.

pretty people

Meet my classmate, Diana.
During our class today, we had to go to the site and take the measurements for the house we are redecorating as one of our interior design class projects. Outside there were no more than 5 degrees Celsius!!!! but she managed to pull out this pretty bohemian look effortlessly, for 3h while we were standing outside in that very cold sunny autumn day! Cheers to that!:)

tennis&fashion

Since i can know myself and from what i've read about the years before i was born, tennis has been a fashionable sport. Due to the individual characteristic of the sport, the players have the freedom to chose their outfits. Throughout the years, tennis not only stayed as a selective sport, but it is now, more than ever, a target for the fashion world. So many of the top athletes are present at fashion shows, behind the scenes or in the front row. Brands like Rolex, Armani, Range Rover, Tag Heuer and so on chose these athletes as their images. Magaznies, like Vogue, Elle, C, Cosmopolitan chose these athletes for their covers. It is now an entire industry spinning around this sport.

I am extremely happy to be part of this world, to see that not only this is an amazing sport, but it is one that stands out. Not to sound too full of myself, but tennis is a beautiful sport. And I am focusing on this one because it is my sport, and i love it, and i couldn't see myself in another sport. I do enjoy other sports, like football(soccer), figure skating, basketball, but tennis is my heart and soul.

the athlete in me

i have been playing tennis since i can know myself, therefore, sports clothes are a huge part of my closet. i love them, i feel very good when wearing them. sports clothes are not just for those days when you don't feel like doing anything, or strictly for going to the gym. i use them to make a statement as well. yes, i am an athlete, therefore i have to wear them, but i do it with class, and i pay as much attention to what i am putting on as i am when dressing up.
since stella mccartney created her line for adidas, i have been hooked on her clothes...not only they are sport related but fashionable, more so than other brands. the clothes have her signature.

new year's eve

another one of those movies with bunch of A-list actors and actresses and this time it's not on valentines but christmas...i had my seconds thoughts when i saw the poster but the trailer looks good...and i have to admit i kind of look forward to see it (i am indeed one hopeless romantic)...i think it will be one of those romantic comedy worth watch during holidays underneath your blanket drinking a hot caramel apple spice when its beautifully snowing outside...

sofia vergara is hilarious!! (as usual)

let me know what you think

tough cookie

this is for the tough cookie inside every single one of us:)...i love to always have in my outfit a piece, no matter how small, that says "i'm tough!" it makes the combination between casual, or soft chic very...how should i say...workable:d...leading to the idea, yes i have a soft side but i also have a tough one:))

under the rain...

These are for the rainy days!

one extraordinary angel

hmmm...where to start? amazing body, perfect face, and what a boyfriend she has:)...
Rosie Huntington Whiteley's performance in Transformers 3 has risen a lot of questions and comments, some good and some not so good...but, as a Transformers lover as well as her fan, i have to say i absolutely loved her in it. her role is not that big, her lines are not memorable, but damn she makes that movie hot! and i think this is a great start for her...

i am actually going to put that movie on right now:)

wishlist

most of the time I prefer to focus on just one item for my wishlist..I like to take it step by step, and go with one item at a time...even though, I know this one particular item might not get in my hands pretty soon, I found myself creating an obsession around it, and planning to, somehow, someday, have it:)

talking about halloween...

talking about halloween costumes, i ran over this image...not only that the costume is extremely scary, but that's Heidi Klum behind it!!...known for her creepy choices for halloween costumes, this year, Heidi Klum seems to have done it again! extremely original i have to say, yet the image makes your heart go faster...i wonder how she looked from up close or under the lights inside tao...

what a Halloween!

since i spent my halloween up in the mountains with my family, i went on stalking vogue.com curious about what happened in the world of fashion and not only...it looks like they had fun! i love marc jacobs and michael  kors' outfits...i couldn't recognize either one of them! haha and i loved martha stewart's butterfly eyes

with every day, it gets better

on thursday night (12am) my dad calls me to ask if i want to go with them up in the mountains for the weekend. of course i could not refuse. so, i let everything i had to do, and here we are on friday, driving for 8h to get to the beautiful Bucovina, Romania.
This is my favorite place. there is so much peace around me, just my thoughts and I...it is the perfect place to go and clear your mind, forget about all worries, and just relax...no service, no tv, no internet (even thought they were available)...the perfect place to charge your batteries...
